The 5 Best Outdoor activities in UK for Naturists

The last few months have been an uncertain time for all of us, but now that Naturist Britain is slowly getting back to “normal” but still with some restrictions we decided we’d give you our top 5 naturist activities to get you back out into the world and stay safe! Reconnecting with nature will certainly make you feel better, both physically and mentally so give some of these and try and let us know what you think!

1. Walking

Walking may seem like a simple activity, one that isn’t overly exciting but going for a walk is actually amazing for a variety of reasons! Walking is a form of exercise that most of us can commit to. It’s great for clearing your mind and keeping stress at bay. As we get older, it’s also a great way of keeping us limber as well as aiding with weight loss! If you can find the perfect spot for an hour or two naturist wondering then a brisk stroll might be just what you’re looking for! There are several naturist trails around the UK, it’s best to do your research and find the perfect one close to you.

2. Go to the Beach

Who doesn’t love of the feel of fresh sea air on your bare skin? Salt water is actually amazing for not only your skin but your body too! It’s full of minerals such as Calcium, Magnesium and Sodium, all the things our bodies need every day to help our organs function properly. Salt water is also said to help with seasonal allergies! Finding a naturist beach can be difficult but with a bit of digging you’re sure to find a spot you can relax in! There are roughly 40 beaches across the UK that allow naturists to be naked, however, this doesn’t mean the entire beach is yours to roam around naked on so double check before you strip off and get your daily dose of serotonin!

3. Go on a Woodland Walk

There’s nothing better than stumbling across a quiet and secluded meadow beaming with wildflowers and there’s no better chance of finding one  than by setting off a woodland walk! I true Naturist style, this is probably one of the best naturist activities you could do! There are countless trails and paths around the UK that afford its visitors privacy and without a doubt you’d feel closer to nature than ever by walking along them. Let your mind and your body be free as you take in the fresh summer air before winter comes back to bite us.

4. Practice Yoga

As many of you know, we love Naturist Yoga here and Naturist Cleaners! Yoga is a great activity for naturists both physically and mentally. Yoga increases your mobility, promotes good digestion and is an amazing activity to get your blood pumping! The more vigorous types of yoga such as Ashtanga is a great way to work up a sweat and burn calories! We know that many individuals are put off by Yoga because of its apparent intensity, but there are levels suitable to everyone, from beginners right the way up to intermediates. The movements involved in practicing yoga have also been known to help those suffering with chronic pain. The positions and flexible movements help to increase your metabolism and if you suffer from illnesses such as IBS, yoga might be the perfect answer for you! Not only does Yoga promote physical health by aiding in lowering your blood pressure, cholesterol, and glucose levels, it is also an amazing activity to alleviate stress and anxiety. Working towards achieving the deeply relaxed sensation of Savasana, you are certain to feel much more connected with your body once you’ve practiced the art of yoga at a naturist class!

5. Go Camping

Similar to Yoga and meditation, camping relaxes you and reconnects you with nature and your surroundings. The wilderness will help you feel more optimistic, happy and energized and through this you’ll no doubt come out of a camping weekend feeling much happier! There are several camping spots suited to naturists around the UK and what better way to create memories of nude hikes and roasting marshmallows over a bonfire than by staying under the stars? We know camping might not be to everyone’s taste, but we couldn’t imagine anything better than being that close to nature and still having the comforts of a warm and cosy tent to stay in at the end of a long day exploring!
